When to move baby to Toddler Bed?

I’ve heard 18mo – 2yrs, but my daughter is such a bed hog! haha. She’s 14 mo. and she’ll sleep up against one side, and move around and have her head the other way, on the oposite side of the bed against the rails. So, my questions is, should I wait til she stops being a bed hog so she doesnt fall out of bed, or well she know not to move around so much when she’s in a toddler bed?

When my daughter was around 2 yrs old I had a Convertible Crib that I converted to a toddler bed and I only made the change because one time she was throwing a tantrum and fell head first out of the crib-luckily my husband was there and caught her. When I did change over I used a bed rail on the one side, but it was a big transition and all of the bed time battles began. so if your child is not climbing out of bed or doing things to cause her to fall out, I would put this off as long as you can.
