does crib sheets and bassinet sheets have to be the exact size? or can they be a little big?

I have a couple sheets for a crib and bassinet, but the Crib Sheet is for a standard crib and i have a small compact crib. 24*38. and my Bassinet Sheet is a little big too. I am thinking that having the sheets a lil to big can cause SIDS, and I do NOT want that does anyone know please help me?

It should be exact size. Anything too big could come up and off the mattress when your little one moves around leading to a suffocation hazard. I would go with the correct size Fitted Sheets.
