Has anyone else had a similar rash on their baby? Polka Dot-like spots on legs??? Please read the details!?

My 9-month-old has been getting a rash on and off for the past month or so. I’ve taken him to see the doctor and she said that it was most likely viral, and that since he wasn’t vomiting, running a fever or having diarrhea that I would have to let it run its course. The spots start off small and some grow in size up to 1cm in diameter (perfect circles, with no crusting or raised surface… they’re not bumpy). He’s only gotten them on his legs and occasionally one or two will appear on his arms. The rash last for a few days, disappear for a week or so, and then the cycle repeats. They don’t seem to be causing him any itching or discomfort.

I’ve asked the peditrician if it could be food allergies and she said that an allergic reaction to food would be more hive-like (an itchy rash all over).

My question is, has anyone else experienced a similar rash on their baby/child? Or know the name of the virus that may be causing it? I’ve tried searching the net, but no luck there.

no but my daughter since the age of 2 weeks , now 6 months has a rash that looks like red raised bumps(perfect circles as well) around her mouth and privet area. It comes and goes. I asked about it and they(more than one) said its probley from the heat and not to worry, same for her privet area her wet diaper could cause it with the heat frm her body. Sometimes it goes on her arms.

I break out for no reason also, since i was younge. Same thing as her except on my arms.

or have you used anything new with in the last month. New product or clothing, cloth anything like that? what about anything you used on the floor?

I gave up on wondering what could cause my daughters rash. It dont bother her none. So i dont worry
